Always know the details.

I’m clever at using space; not so good at making it look good.

It's been a while; there is some progress despite a trip to Sarasota.

That odd looking vent assembly is now part of the bath area exhaust along with the original squirrel cage, a new Siemens PM360 motor that was also standard OEM for many a '70's Chrysler Motor cars as the rear window blower, and some semi-rigid 3" vent pipe.

The other images show the build up of the back curbside corner. That power center is from Progressive Dynamics with a 60W converter.

The first six are the insect barrier for the bath vent. It is two 4 to 3 short duct reducers, plumber's membrane, rabbit wire, and fiberglass screen pancaked together.

Using Jimmy Dean's design, Red Neck Tech, Hillie Billie High, to build an insect barrier for the bath vent that went thru the floor in the rear curbside.

It's clear I don't know what I'm doing but it seems to be working.

We decided to remove the black tank and throne with a composting toilet. After a search, we decided to go with Natures Head. I'll add a link later.

One feature is the composting poop-chamber has a small fan to vent the "noises" outside. That's nice. NH even has the pieces to make a horizontal or vertical vent port. It comes with screening to keep the bug out. Trouble was, the only flat surface on an Airstream is the bottom where the weather and bug protection won't work.

Once again, I had to improvise.

Enter Jimmy Deane, graduate of Red Neck Tech, Hillbilly High. (He told me to say that.) His design included a plastic round oil funnel from NAPA, some plumbers rubber gasket material, some square mesh, fiberglass screening, and butyl calk. Voila!

Thank you Jimmy. I owe you some 'shine!

I just found out that the plywood I've been trying to buy is now in the warehouse. I need to get moving here...
