Had a bit of excitement a little too close to home today, and fire fighting was not on my list of things to try, that's for sure! We don't have all the details yet, but it sounds like our little neighborhood fire (which rapidly grew to 400 acres) may have been started by a faulty electrical box for a water line. It really brought home the reality of how quickly electrical fires can start and the damage they can cause. In light of the incident, I am offering a deal on electrical safety checks. I'll come out and do a full safety check for $50.
If repairs or upgrades need to be made the price of the inspection can be taken off the price of any work I do.
Thank you to all our neighbors, the forest service crews, the local Salmon River Rural Fire District, and everyone else who responded so quickly and worked so hard to save our homes! Stay safe out there, and our prayers go out to all who are still out there fighting this fire.
