PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: TRADITIONAL MEDICINALS
Over the past several months, our team has been hard at work constructing the new 110,000-square-foot Traditional Medicinals manufacturing facility in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
This project represents much more than a typical industrial building. Once complete, the facility will serve as Traditional Medicinals’ East Coast Manufacturing Facility and support one of the nation’s leaders in botanical wellness.
A few numbers that help tell the story:
▪️ 110,000 SF Phase 1 facility
▪️ 42-foot-tall concrete tilt-panel construction
▪️ Approximately 150+ workers have contributed on-site throughout construction
▪️ Building Construction began in October 2025
▪️ Expected Substantial Completion: September 2026
▪️ Production anticipated to begin in October 2026
Located within Summit View Business Park, this facility will become the park’s third completed building. Despite its industrial use, the site is surrounded by rolling farmland and mountain views, creating a unique setting for both employees and visitors. The building’s design incorporates extensive window space throughout, allowing natural light into the facility while taking advantage of the surrounding landscape.
The facility has also been designed with future growth in mind. Current plans call for several additional phases over the next decade, ultimately bringing the campus to approximately 250,000+ square feet.
One of the most impressive aspects of the project is the advanced manufacturing and packaging technology that will be housed within the facility. The building has been designed to accommodate highly automated operations while providing room for future expansion as additional phases are developed.
Projects like this require the coordinated efforts of owners, designers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and construction professionals working toward a common goal.
