This is the current phase on construction. Quarter sawn white oak floors are installed, an additional window for the laundry room was ordered and the final installation is now complete. We are counting down the days, anticipating a mid October completion. By the way our blower door test came in under 2.

Roofing complete and rough mechanicals have started. We are on schedule and moving towards anticipated completion in October. Next on the schedule is window installation, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and low-voltage rough in to be completed next week.

Here’s a look at a renovation project that we are in the final stages of construction, I’ve been renovating a house in the suburbs and this is a real catch up. We tore out the existing kitchen, removed an existing structural wall and repositioned an interior wall to add a master bath with double vanity. Look towards the next post to see our most current activity.

A lot of framing to catch up on… was ordered in 10’ lengths so eliminate horizontal seems resulting in a tighter more energy efficient structure. Subfloor is 3/4” panels. Roofing will continue Friday and next week we start plumbing and HVAC rough in. The schedule has slipped a little due to rain a few weeks ago however good progress is being made and we should be able to catch up over the next few weeks, stay tuned

Rain has delayed construction over the past week, however it appears that clear skies are forecasted for next week and trusses have been rescheduled for Wednesday. All interior walls are up and focus will turn to lower level walls, exterior sheathing and deck framing.

Good progress last week with the first floor deck in place we had a couple of sunny days to backfill the foundation and load crushed stone into the garage and main entrance porch foundations. We also installed the egress well that will be connected to a lower level bedroom. The egress well was backfilled with stone which will allow water to percolate down to the and thru the underground conductor to the lake. Wall framing starts tomorrow
