The Missouri S&T Steel Bridge Design Team won the 1st Overall Award in the American Society of Civil Engineers Mid-America Student Symposium Bridge competition hosted by the Missouri S&T Campus!

Our results consisted of first places in Construction Speed, Cost Estimation, Structural Efficiency, Construction Economy, and second places in Aesthetics, Lightness and Stiffness! We hope you continue supporting us as we go onto Nationals later this month!

Last week, Steel Bridge had a great time talking to alumni at the Silver and Gold Event, presenting the bridge at the SDELC Homecoming game tailgate, and giving out candy at Boo-Palooza! What a wonderful way to celebrate the combined Halloween and Homecoming weekend as fall comes to an end!

Last weekend, our Steel Bridge Team joined for the 14th Annual Celebration of Nations! We had so much fun showing off last years bridge in the parade and participating in the many festivities that followed!

His favorite memory was going to the Beach during Nationals in San Diego!

His favorite memory was the 5AM build practice the day of competition! It was in a parking garage before the sun came up!

This year, Kyle is looking forward to social events with the rest of the team! He is also looking forward to getting the new design ready for competition!
