Honesty Is Our Best Policy
Most replacement windows are custom-made for your home. We carefully measure each opening, document the specifications, and place the order with the manufacturer. Depending on the brand and product, manufacturing can take on average between 3-8 weeks.
A lot happens behind the scenes before installation day. A lot of planning and coordination.
But even with careful planning, some things are outside our control.
Occasionally, a window may arrive with a manufacturer defect or damage that occurred somewhere along the way—from the factory to the warehouse, truck, or final delivery.
At Solaris Windows and Remodeling, we inspect every window as carefully as possible before installation. However, some defects aren’t noticeable until the window is unpacked or installed.
When that happens, we tell our customer.
We don’t hide it and hope they don’t notice.
We explain what we found, discuss the available options, and let the customer decide how they would like to proceed. Some homeowners may be comfortable with a tiny cosmetic imperfection in an inconspicuous area. Others want the product replaced—and we completely respect that.
A replacement can mean waiting several more weeks for the manufacturer, additional coordination, and additional work on our end. But we’d rather deal with the inconvenience than hide a problem from a customer.
We know saying “honesty is the best policy” may sound like a cliché.
For us, it’s simply how we believe business should be done.
