📅 Scheduling Update

My schedule for handyman projects is officially FULL through late September! With harvest starting around that time, I won’t be scheduling any additional handyman work for the time being.

Once harvest wraps up, I’ll reevaluate my schedule and post an update when I’m ready to begin taking on new projects again.

To any customer I have already talked to or given an estimate, your projects are still a go!

No job too small!

One of the things I hear alot is, "I just can’t find someone to do these small things."

The truth is, those are exactly the kinds of projects I enjoy.

Just over the past week, I've helped customers with:

This repeat customer had an old, rotting porch post that had definitely seen better days. I replaced it with a new pressure-treated post designed for outdoor use, then wrapped it in PVC trim to provide an extra layer of protection and a clean, low-maintenance finish.

It's the small details that really bring a project like this together—color-matched plugs to conceal the screws, stainless steel fasteners to resist rust, and taking the time to make sure everything is built to last.

Meet the Team!

Reagan:
I’m the one you’ll see on the jobsite completing your project or in the woodshop building your custom piece. Most of the time, I’ll be the one communicating with you, although Beth may jump in and answer a Facebook message if she sees it first.
When I’m not working on your projects, I work a full-time job and farm. Every project is important to me, and I do my best to give every customer a great experience—from showing up when I say I will, to doing quality work, and probably throwing in a few terrible dad jokes along the way.
I truly look forward to working with you.

Beth:
My wife, biggest supporter, and mom to Waylon.
When she isn't busy being an incredible wife and mom, she owns and operates Key Counseling in Danville. Honestly, she's the one who gave me the confidence to take the leap and start Walder Home Solutions.
She helps behind the scenes, answers Facebook messages from time to time, and is always willing to lend a hand however she can.

Where do I even begin? He brings so much joy to our lives.

🏡 Out with the old, in with the new!

These front steps had seen better days. The wood was rotting, they had become unsafe, and there wasn't a handrail. I removed the old staircase and built a new set with a sturdy handrail so the homeowner can safely access and enjoy her enclosed front porch again.

Homeownership comes with maintenance. Wood rots, materials wear out, and repairs are needed— that's where I can help.

These old doors were toast so we installed a new set for Bread Basket Bakery!

Yesterday, we wrapped up this exterior door and storm door replacement. After years of taking a beating from Illinois weather, the old doors were ready to be replaced.

The new doors provide improved appearance, better functionality, and increased protection from the elements.
