Our History
It all started back in 1991 when Bill Vanderveer started a Pool Service & Repair company based on the principles of Quality Workmanship and Outstanding Customer Service. As time passed and his excellent work became known in the area, in addition to continuing to perform pool pump repairs, his customers began asking Bill to make irrigation repairs as well as minor plumbing repairs.
In 1993, Bill went to work for a local Construction Company. Over the next 8 years he was exposed to every aspect of Residential and Commercial Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain repairs. In 2001 Bill took that knowledge and experience and went to work for one of Sacramento’s well-known and largest plumbing companies. Over the next 14 years due to his well established experience, knowledge, and ability to train others, Bill assumed additional roles with increased leadership responsibility until his growth led him to transition from a Service Technician to the Plumbing Operations Manager.
Because his attention to detail and the quality of his work had become so well-known throughout the industry, in July 2008 Rheem Tankless Water Heaters asked him to be the person who installed their Tankless Wayer Heater System for a featured article in Reeves Journal, a well-respected industry publication. http://www.rheem.com/news/the-big-switch--from-tank-to-tankless
In 2014 Bill was seeking bigger challenges and greater opportunity. He went on to help two other large area companies start, manage, and grow their Plumbing divisions. With 25 years in the industry, with a reputation for quality work and excellent service, after training more than 50 quality, knowledgeable Plumbers – with an emphasis on quality workmanship and superior customer service (what else?), Bill decided to start up his own Plumbing Service and Repair Company. He has applied these tenets to Vanderveer Plumbing, Sewer & Drain too.
