To give voice to grassroots and public interest pursuits that inspire civic engagement and progressive political action. To serve the broader community, particularly women and persons overlooked or discounted. Lack of representation by women and community members with diverse backgrounds enables a media monopoly to remain staggeringly limited as it contributes to an increasingly ill-informed public by excluding many voices from public discourse. Our work in diversifying this landscape is critical to the health of our culture and democracy. Sacramento AIRS will feature issues that affect Sacramentans, Californians and the many across our interdependent world.
