Our crew just completed a full roof replacement at 3010 Meadowbrook Drive in Woodbury, Minnesota after significant hail damage! ✅

This one's over on 3rd Street East in St. Paul — and our crew knocked it out in a single day. Tear-off, install, cleanup, done. 💪

Here's the backstory:

The original roof was at end of life — organic shingles that had been on the home for decades. Quick note for any neighbors with older homes: if your roof is from the 1980s or 1990s, there's a good chance it's an organic shingle. They haven't been manufactured for years and they wear out faster than the fiberglass shingles installed today. Worth a free inspection if you're not sure what you've got up there. ⚠️

Another beautiful Minnesota roof in the books! 🏡

This one's over on Fairlawn Drive in Minnetonka — and it came with a few hidden surprises that we tackled the right way. 💪

Here's the backstory:

The original 3-tab shingle roof was pretty old, hail damaged, and long past its service life. The gutter covers had taken a beating too. A full replacement was overdue — but once we got the old shingles off, we found something that needed addressing before we could lay a single new shingle. 👀

The decking was "gapped" and didn't meet modern standards.

Gapped decking is a building code issue. It happens when the original roof boards weren't spaced properly during construction and most roofers cover it up and move on. ❌

We don't do that. ✅

So we re-decked the ENTIRE roof with new OSB sheathing — bringing the structure up to current code before installing the new roof system on a properly built base.

Here's everything that went into this project:

A note on the skylights:

The old skylights were on borrowed time — heavy sealant buildup around the perimeter from years of patching leaks. When sealant becomes the only thing holding back water, the unit itself is done. We upgraded to premium VELUX deck mount units — the gold standard in residential skylights. ⭐

Up next on this project: new gutters and gutter covers to round out the full exterior weatherproofing package.
