BOAT THIEVES in Tierra Verde Florida April 2013

We have been advised by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Dept. that a group of boat thieves are again operating in and around the Tierra Verde area. Their target boats seem to be a minimum of 250 horse power engine boats,
preferably multi-motor boats of 2 or 3 engines in order to achieve high speed.They are apparently using empty waterfront homes as storage locations for fuel to be loaded into stolen boats needed for long distance trips into the
Caribbean. If you see a waterfront home with excessive barrels, containers, etc. at the
rear yard or dock, you are asked to contact the Sheriff's Dept. at (727) 582-6200
