Why aeration?
Aerating your lawn is one of the best ways to promote healthier grass growth. The aerator creates small holes in the soil allowing water, nutrients and oxygen to reach the roots more easily. This leads to stronger, deeper roots and a thicker lawn.
Should I aerate this spring?
It’s best to aerate in early spring and or fall when the grass is actively growing. This Is because the lawn has a quicker recovery time during these seasons.
What kind of aeration?
There are several different kinds of aeration machines. For most lawns, we recommend using a core aerator (which removes small soil plugs). Aerating in two directions ensures thorough coverage, and leaving the soil plugs on the lawn helps break down thatch and enrich the soil. Regular aeration can transform your lawn into a lush, green yard. 🌱
