Just a reminder that our office will be operating a little differently through September 2nd while our family enjoys some much-needed time away.

Spectrum Plumbing is still open and serving customers (thanks, Matt!), but the best way to reach the office is by text or email. We won't be answering phone calls during this time.

Today we're throwing it back to our very first tip we shared with our community.

Battling a clogged drain and trying to save a few bucks by using liquid drain cleaners? Think again! Those liquid drain cleaners are not only harmful to you and the environment, they also do more harm than good to your plumbing system.

Already used the drain cleaner and the clog still won't clear? If you're calling a professional to come to your rescue, please make sure you disclose that you used a chemical cleaner so we can protect our eyes and skin.

IMPORTANT: Our office will be operating a little differently from August 26th through September 2nd while our family takes some much-needed time away together to decompress and relax.

The good news is that Spectrum Plumbing is still open! Matt will be holding down the fort in the field, so we'll continue serving our customers throughout the week.

During this time, the best way to reach us will be by text or email. We won't be answering phone calls while we're away, but we'll do our best to respond to messages the same day whenever possible.

If your request is non-urgent—like scheduling an estimate or asking general questions—it may take us a little longer to get back to you, and we appreciate your patience. We'll be back in the office and returning calls on September 3rd.

The last time we posted a "what is this...?" post, we got a lot of fun feedback, so we're going to make it a regular thing around here!

If your drains are slow, there's always a reason why.

Years of grease, soap scum, food debris, and other buildup had packed this drain line so tightly that water had almost nowhere left to go. The good news? Slow drains usually give you plenty of warning before they become a full-blown backup.
