Thorium’s abundance in the Earth’s crust makes it a more sustainable and long-term energy source compared to uranium. Unlike traditional nuclear reactors, thorium reactors are considered inherently safer, producing less long-lived radioactive waste and minimizing the risk of a meltdown.
