A little advice. If your framing in a 6'8" door, make your trimmers 6'8" and set them on your bottom plate. Lets the door fit and gives you room for insulation. and when you go to set doors you dont have to cut down your jams , stops and doors. Thanks to the Amish discount people get on framing around here im like a full time door cutter now.lol..and is it really a discount when your paying extra to fix major mistakes that most framers learn how to do right on year one.

From rocks in Montana, to cutting them down in salmon , cross cutting and hand chiseling out a lip , notching for corner , setting and grouting the hearth.
