I don’t love just a complete “open concept”. I still feel like compartmentalizing certain spaces feels traditional and cozy and allows for more privacy. I don’t love however, that sometimes closed spaces leave the room feeling dark (especially small spaces) so in this smaller home we opted to use a transom window in the entry to allow for tons of light in the dining room that is on the other side but still offered the home owners plenty of much needed privacy! What do you think? It was also thrifted and cost us about $30 at a second hand store. 🤗 (swipe to see the before)
