23 years ago this month, Ann, Annie, & Jared founded an architectural firm in Salt Lake City that primarily focuses on remodels. Ann and Annie knew that many homeowners were seeking design help with remodels, but neither of them had a business background. Annie shared the idea with her sister, Lori whose husband, Jared, was taking a business class. One of his assignments was to write a business plan, and Lori thought maybe Annie and Jared could help each other out.
Ann, Annie, & Jared began to casually meet to discuss the idea, began work on a few small projects for friends and family, and entered their plan in a statewide business contest. Within a few months, they started Renovation Design Group and within a couple of years moved their office into an attic on 1300 East.
Since then, they have helped renovate over 1,500 houses in the Salt Lake Valley and beyond. The team has also evolved with Jared leaving the firm in 2013 and Ann retiring at the end of 2023. But our mission has stayed the same - to have lots of fun & to help homeowners create a new design for a better life in their home.
