This photo was archived in my photos and saved so that I would never forget a special project that touched our hearts several years ago . We were called to care for and landscape a property while one was deployed on a dangerous mission . We had the idea to put yellow ribbons on all the trees on the property. We had heard that upon his return he would fly over his home . We had the idea to design a small garden of the Air Force emblem that would be clearly visible as he flew over his home. Weeks went by as we waited and prayed for his safe return . His mission was accomplished successfully and he did return home safe. At the time of is this project we had several young men working in our crew on his property . It was life changing for them seeing only a very small part of what these brave men and women go through to protect our country and freedom . Two of them made the decision to serve our country by joining the military and to this day are still serving . We are proud supporters of our military and first responders . Let’s all link arms to support and pray for those that quietly without notice or need of recognition protect us each day . Tie a yellow ribbon on your tree ! Pray for them and their families as they wait for their return .
Here’s a few ways to support those that protect us :
Pray for their families
Mow a yard
Take a meal
Offer to babysit or run errands
Listen to them
And above all ….. PRAY

This Honor Garden was designed and created in the front yard of this home to honor the veterans in this family as well as their veteran friends . The stone surrounding path and bench seat will invite those strolling by to take a moment to reflect . Each stone at the base of the flag has the names of those that gave for our freedom .
“All gave some but some gave all “
This garden is a daily reminder that our freedom is not free !

This precious client is so inspiring ! This is her dream garden … to grow her own food, surrounded with roses and pollinator plants . Each path had a supply of herbs , berries , veggies and fruit ! The stone planters , seating area and paths are so she can leave a legacy garden . Now her days are full of moments she loves . Gardening , having friends over to sit in her bistro garden, coffee with birds , butterflies fluttering around her as she listens to the bees working to help make her veggies ! Savoring her garden and life .
It takes a good plan to create spaces that last for years to come . A garden investment gives so much back . A beautiful French kitchen garden was a major part of homes dating back to the colonial times . Kitchen tables had fresh produce from the garden in bowls waiting for meals to be created . Kids knew where food came from and how it grew !
Creating these gardens are our passion because they change lives .

We passed this little rural country church on our way home from working in Waco and we noticed that the cross above the door was barely noticed . We knew we could help by adding beautiful lighting that would draw the eyes to the cross . We knew it was a small way we could bring hope to this congregation and community . We took note of the name of the church and contacted the Pastor the next day . It was such a blessing to get to bless this church ! Leaving a legacy of generosity is the foundation of who we are and what satisfies our hearts the most ! Someday we will hear of all those that saw that cross and thought about their relationship with Jesus !!!

Family Roots

We feel that businesses are like trees. Every tree that you see is a result of the years of influence both by the tree’s habitat and also the conditions present when the tree was planted and began developing. A weak tree can be the result of improper pruning or wind damage while the tree was still young. The story is the same for businesses. They have roots just like any tree, and the effects of the way a business is handled over time has formed and shaped what you see today.

LaField Lawn & Landscape enjoys the fruits of an excellent foundation and proper pruning over the years. We were carefully planted in 1988 by the loving hands of three family members. John Graham partnered with his son-in-law and daughter, Rick & Terie Lafield, to form what was then called LaField’s Lawn Service. John loved trees and was affectionately called “Daddy”. He was also the source of many of the values and the heart that drive LaField Lawn & Landscape today.
