Beautiful morning here in San Antonio. Temperatures are slowly dropping and it’s currently 66 degrees, I’ve been waiting all summer for this! The bermuda grass is still holding color in the backyard… for now. Enjoy the nice weather and have a wonderful day!

I’ve learned as a regional manager (and husband!!) that sometimes, when outcomes are irrelevant, it’s just not worth the effort to get into a meaningless argument. Now I put this lesson into practice almost daily with my children 🙄🤷‍♂️. It’s a great lesson to learn and it’s unfortunate it took me so long to learn.

Going a little further back today, to 2010 and my first season with the Frederick Keys in Frederick, MD. We’re “burning” the logo in with a blast of water, pushing the grass blades back in the opposite direction of which we mowed. This was the first of many times for me of incorporating logos into a mowing pattern.

I’ve recently retired from a lengthy career in sports turf management and I’ve now found myself with plenty of time to clean and organize the house. I’ve also begun to clean up years of digital clutter and found these great pics from 2018 and my time managing the athletic fields at UTSA.
