Walk-in coolers don't just quit on you. They usually try to warn you first — most people just don't know what to look for.
Here are five things worth paying attention to:
① Frost buildup on the evaporator coils — the defrost cycle isn't keeping up
② Temps running slightly warm — a small drift now becomes a big problem later
③ Compressor running constantly — it's working too hard to hold temperature
④ Sounds that weren't there before — motors and fans don't get louder for no reason
⑤ Water on the floor — drain line or worse, but either way it needs a look
None of these are emergencies on their own. But ignore them long enough and one of them will be.
