So I am seeing more and more homeowners really underinsured. This can be devastating after a fire. Homeowners who have had there policy renewed every year for many years is most often the victim, especially when the home is paid off and you no longer of a mortgage company with an invested interest. While they will automatically increase your dwelling coverage based on inflation index it’s usually not enough. Think of it this way if you had a fire and had to rebuild your entire house back to the way it was, in todays economy, from the ground up.
