Happy 112th Founder's Day, Alpha Rho Chi! APX was founded on April 11, 1914 as the nation's first fraternity for architecture and the allied arts.

Vern Swansen joined APX as a brother of the Chapter at University of Southern California. In the late 60s while teaching at Cal Poly SLO, Vern was instrumental in the founding of the Chapter.

This painting 'Alpha Rho Chi Headquarters - Philippine Trench AD.2284' features an imaginative structure made of APX chapter cadencies. This piece was gifted by Vern to Heather and Dave Larsen, who are brothers of the foundation and threshold pledge classes on the Daedalus Chapter.
