Truth be told, I’ve always admired the Marines—and I personally had the pleasure of working alongside them during deployments. There’s no question they set the standard for toughness and tenacity. I’m glad the Marines are on our side… and I genuinely feel sorry for any adversary that has to face them in combat.

Evil is Real. Awareness is Not Optional.

On August 22nd, Charlotte witnessed pure evil. A young woman, Iryna Zarutska, was brutally attacked on a light rail while fellow passengers stood frozen. This is a sobering reminder that danger does not wait for permission, and evil thrives when good people remain inactive.

The Bible warns us:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8

Kentucky Church Shooting: A Wake-Up Call for Faith Communities

On July 13, 2025, a gunman entered Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, KY, searching for the mother of his children. When he didn’t find her, he declared, “Someone’s gonna have to die then,” and murdered two women, family members, and wounded two men, including the pastor. He was later killed by responding police.

This tragedy wasn’t random. It reflects a pattern we see across the nation:
