🐍 Crawlspace Surprise of the Day…

Doing a consultation today and found that we weren’t the first ones inspecting the crawlspace. Apparently this resident snake had already moved in and claimed the place as his own.

Why are snakes in crawlspaces?

Because crawlspaces are basically the snake version of a luxury apartment:
• Cool in the summer
• Warm in the winter
• Dark and quiet
• Usually comes with a buffet of mice and insects

If there are snakes in a crawlspace, it usually means there are other conditions attracting them — moisture, entry points, or food sources.

The good news: those things are fixable.

Remember this food chain: Moisture-Insects-Mice-Snakes

That’s one of the reasons our Real Estate Response Team consultations help agents and homeowners get ahead of issues before they become bigger problems.

Not checking out your crawlspace yearly is a lot like saying “well I went to the doctor when I was 15 for a physical to play football and I was fine then, I don’t see why anything’s changed in the last 20 years”. Trust me, things have changed 🫣

For most people, their house is their largest investment. Why would you not take care of the crawlspace/foundation. It’s literally the foundation of the home.

As always, free consultations. I mean, if going to the doctor was free, I’d probably know why I’m tired all the time 🥴🤷‍♂️
