Hello everyone. Several people have asked if I get elected to the Village Trustee position will my business Clar Electric still be in operation. Yes!! My business will still be in full operation with myself & two great full time employees as it is now. Although the Village Trustee position will occupy quite a bit of my time most meetings are in the evenings with a few events during the day.

Please help each other during these rough times & support your local restaurants with carry out or delivery We will all feel this in one way or another & have to stick together. So far my business has only had two cancellation/rescheduled jobs so we are ok.

The Schaumburg Fire Department has recently responded to a number of fires that involved bathroom fans. Although these exhaust fans are useful in preventing moisture build-up and removing odors, they can become a potential fire hazard. The motor can easily overheat and ignite built-up lint. These fans are meant only for brief periods of use. It is important to remember to turn off your bathroom fans and to inspect and clean them often.

Important tip. If you have a power line down from the storm or damaged tree limbs on them do not go near them! Call Com Ed at 1800-edison1& pick the option for downed wires. Wait until all power is de - energized before removing the limbs.

Reminder to everyone to have your furnace cleaned & checked by an HVAC contractor & make sure you have working carbon monoxide detectors on all floors of your home.

If anyone would like a manual transfer switch installed for your portable generator please contact us for a free estimate. No running extension cords all over the house. Just plug in the generator outside, start it up & flip a few switches. Be prepared for power outages.
