*Please note: I work alone. I don't cut corners and my attention to detail is unsurpassed. If you want pro quality without pro prices and can wait a few extra days to finish the job, then I'm your man. All quotes include:
~ Separate estimates for labor and materials (Benjamin Moore Paint.)
~ 2 coats of paint (unless otherwise specified.)
~ Fix "normal" damage to drywall (nail holes, minor dings and dents)
~ Hardware removed and replaced for painting. Ethics and working style:
~ Going the extra mile is the way to happy customers!
~ No mark-up on materials.
~ Work doesn't stop on your project until it's completed. I don't overlap jobs.

I've had a few customers who want to go with Miller paint rather than my usual Benjamin Moore. This is my field test to see which is better.

2 coats of Miller wall paint (tinted) vs. 1 coat of Benjamin Moore ceiling paint (untinted.)

The ceiling has 2 coats of Miller's Evolution wall paint. One of their better products. White over off-white. Doesn't cover.

Ceiling paint is it always notoriously translucent. There is no reason it should outperform a wall paint. Yet here we are.

I want to love Miller paint. It's local to Portland and is employee owned. This customer's whole house is painted with Miller. I have yet to see a surface that doesn't need another coat. It's thin stuff. And it's stinky.

Crown moulding with LED strips: The interior of the crown and the top of the wall is painted with semigloss to reflect the light. The ceiling is ultra flat to diffuse the light. This should give maximum lighting without directly reflecting the light strips into the viewer's eye.

Neat things happen when contractors can work together on projects.

My camera is having a hard time focusing on the ceiling. I love that. Freshly painted with Waterborne Ultra Flat by Ben Moore. Decorator's White.

It's so much brighter in here now. They're installing LED strips in the crown moulding. It's going to look so cool.

Contractors usually leave a mess but I've never seen any contractor leave someone's home like this. They obviously didn't cover anything. There's plaster dust caked on every surface, including their freshly installed carpet. Primer sprinkled on their cabinets. I'm offended at the complete disregard for this person's home.

You pay for them to complete a job. The job is not complete until they have cleaned after themselves.

I feel bad for the customer. I have to charge to clean up someone else's mess and it adds a day to the timeline.
