It is with tremendous grief and a broken heart that I announce the passing of Heather.
Heather was more than a business partner, she was my absolute best friend.
People often say you shouldn’t go into business with friends. And on the hottest, longest, most physically demanding days, we might have laughed and agreed. But the truth is, our partnership was our greatest strength. At the end of every job, every project, and every impossible mountain of mulch, we had each other- usually laughing, covered in dirt, and proud of what we had created side by side.
We worked as one unit, usually knowing what the other needed before a word was spoken. Our summers were spent doing work we truly loved, and often reminding each other that this was what life was about: working with purpose, creating something meaningful, laughing often, and afternoons spent poolside or in the woods.
Heather poured her heart into every day on the job. Her dedication, work ethic, and joy are forever woven into the spaces we created and the company we built together.
There will never be another Heather, and I already feel that heavily. But her spirit, her laughter, and her love will always be felt.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, trusted us, and been part of this journey with her and I. We were a dynamic duo, and navigating this next part solo will be a challenge.
