The Ace Painters can add window cleaners to our résumé!
Maybe someday we can hang from the roof like
Ninjas to clean them, but the manager of this building didn't feel it was necessary. To be fair,
It is a 2 story building with double hung windows so we could wash them all from inside..
It might have been a little weird seeing us hang off the roof 😆

The Ace Painters finally got to get outside for the 2026 exterior season!!
Our customer booked this job in 2024, we are beyond grateful for her patience! She took a chance on us our very first year in business & has had us come back numerous times for various things 💛 🤍 🩶
Her adorable elderly house still has its original wood siding. This season we get to scrape it down, oil prime it and paint the east side.
As you can image the wood is delaminating. That means the top layer of wood is coming off with the peeling paint.
Once we scrape/peel the paint off we sand it before applying the oil primer. Once the primer is dry, we caulk certain areas, sand again & then apply paint.
For this project we are using Sherwin Williams A-100 exterior latex paint. That product is 100% acrylic(hence its clever name 😉 )and very light weight. It's ideal for old wood as it's less likely to weigh down the delaminating areas which would cause chipped/peeling paint issues.
This is my favorite kind of job. I love peeling the paint off, it's like peeling sunburn off someone's back. I also love that the siding is original to the house- too many people cover that beautiful wood up & wrap their house in plastic(vinyl siding).
