Big island. Tricky install. Complete. 🙌

This island is made up of four cabinets, all with finished feet that needed to land directly on the floor for that truly custom, furniture-style look.

Easier said than done when the floor is out of level and has a pretty serious hump running right through the middle of the island.

We removed the toe kicks, pre-assembled the entire island, got everything perfectly level, and then carefully scribed the full perimeter so every finished foot and panel followed the contours of the floor.

Lots of fitting, adjusting, scribing, and patience, but it came out fantastic.

This kitchen is really starting to come together.

TRENCH LOVEFARE ❤️

Mary Kate and Squiddy got out of HQ today and joined the whole crew back at the Hatfield project.

We’re pecking away at a long-overdue to-do list, and today was all about bringing power to the barn.

Casey, Brian, Larry LaFountain, and the crew got right after it. Trench dug, conduit laid, power pulled, and a new subpanel installed in the barn, all in one day.

A solid upgrade that makes the barn more usable now and gives the clients plenty of options for future needs.

Good planning, good teamwork, efficient ex*****on. Cronin Craft style.

Looks like the Love Squad, Squiddy and Mary Kate, decided they’d had enough of HQ today and made their way out to the job site to check on Brian.

And Brian was crushing it. Base cabinet install is underway, and the big pantry and fridge cabinet are assembled and looking great. This kitchen is really starting to come together.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Squiddy visit without a little horsing around and some laughs mixed in with the work.

Great way to wrap up the week. Have an awesome weekend, everybody, from the Cronin Craft team.

Northampton Kitchen Renovation: Flooring Milestone

I had a wonderful week with family on Cape Cod last week, and it’s doubly wonderful knowing you have trusted subcontractors keeping the project moving while you’re away: communicating well, staying on schedule, and executing at a high level.

Feeling especially grateful for Sousa Floors on this one. They absolutely crushed a challenging install: a white oak herringbone floor, stained to bring out the traditional character and top-coated with three coats of 2K water based finish.

The finished floor is beautiful, and most importantly, the clients are thrilled with the result.

Big shout-out to the Sousa Floors crew for the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Another great milestone on this Northampton kitchen renovation.

One question we get from clients is whether we take on small handyman projects.

The short answer: we’re not a handyman service.

That said, when we’re already on-site completing a larger renovation, we’re often happy to take care of those smaller projects that have been sitting on your to-do list. Since our crew, tools, and materials are already there, the logistics simply make sense.

On this project, we replaced a severely rusted and rotted bulkhead door and repaired roof damage on the garage after a small tree came down. Two lingering headaches, taken care of while we were already there.

It’s one of the little ways we try to make the renovation process as convenient and stress-free as possible for our clients.

CroninCraft Ireland Update 🇮🇪🦑

We’ve officially met Clair O’Leary… the sister of Squiddy’s girlfriend, Mary Kate O’Leary. 🍀

Clair has been giving my brothers, my dad, and me the full VIP tour of Ireland while we’re here celebrating Dad’s 70th birthday. The O’Leary family has been treating us well!

Meanwhile, back home… we’re getting regular job site updates from Brian. It looks like Squiddy, Mary Kate and Brian have kept everyone in line. Sheetrock is hung, the punch list keeps getting shorter, and the project is moving right along.

We’ll be home soon. Until then, cheers from Ireland! 🇮🇪🍻

Well… it’s official.

I’m heading to Ireland for the next 10 days with my dad and my brothers for a heritage trip, and to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday. It’s going to be one heck of an adventure.

Back on the jobsite, things are in good hands with Brian, Squiddy, and, of course, Mary Kate O’Leary.

Poor Squiddy spent the morning wandering around looking for me… “Casey? Casey? Casey?” Thankfully, Mary Kate was there to reassure him: “Don’t worry, he’ll be back.”

The timing worked out perfectly because it turns out Mary Kate has a sister in Ireland who’s apparently agreed to show us around and give us the inside scoop on the west coast. I knew having Irish connections would come in handy.

See you all in about 10 days. Slán for now! 🇮🇪☘️
