The weekend show went very well. Looks as if many people are becoming much more energy conscious. They are interested in reducing their carbon foot print and saving real money on their utility bills. I would estimate I talked to nearly twice as many folks as I did at last year's show.

The new website is on line but not quite 100%. As a result it is a little slow to load. It should be fully functional by the end of next week. My web designer and IT wizard have done a great job of putting this together. They are a Romanian couple with a very good command of the English language, but you will notice some odd verb and preposition usage from time to time. Many thanks to Cosmine and Dana.

This week we weatherized a mobile home home that was in serious need. It was an older model, before codes required much insulation. We added insulation to the ceiling, via holes and plugs and repaired to under carriage, known as the belly pan. Holes or tears in this barrier allows a ton of air to blow thorough and chill the floors. Critters too!

Watch out for companies selling weatherization repairs, windows, doors and insulation upgrades as the weather gets cold. Using a Building Performance Institute, Certified Auditor to inspect your house will get you an accurate assessment of what it will take to make your house more comfortable and affordable. Certified auditors are bound by a "code of ethics" to keep your best interests in the forefront.

We just completed a nice basic insulation upgrade project in old Louisville. We worked with LG&Es energy conservation program and the volunteer group "Project Warm" to help this nice lady make her house more comfortable and affordable.
