As promised: Here is what that pile of mess on my workbench was turned into today. I got the privilege of designing and creating the trophies for Shenandoah Fire Department’s Annual Golf Tournament. Also, to create their Traveling Trophy that will get reused every year with name plates of the winning team attached around the outside!

Welp, I stepped WAY out of my comfort zone and rebuilt my first Draw Leaf Tabletop. My customer had this unique table damaged in a tornado a couple years ago. They really liked the table and didn’t want to replace the whole thing as it could reduce by 2 feet or extend by two feet when needed for friends or family to gather around. I was very hesitant to take this job on as I didn’t want to end up making it worse because I’d never done anything like this before. But, my friends, family and these fantastic customers boosted my confidence. So, I locked it in and just did what needed to be done. The end result turned out really nice. And according the customer, was better than the original. These pictures are before, during and after the build.

Had a very special guest in the shop tonight. Dad wanted some help milling up some lumber. Brought back memories of when I was a kid helping do this! Only thing different this time was that I didn’t know everything, like I did when I was a kid. It was great spending time with you Dad! Love Ya Pa!

Last week I finished* up a custom, ummmm, &un rack. Hooks will be installed at a later date when installed in the customers home (pictures to come). This was a fun build using reclaimed barn boards for the awesome rustic look and feel.
