June is also off to a busy start with us finalizing the old Worcester Morgan Construction Crescent Street Utility disconnects for Regional Demolition. This project had 7 Water disconnects consisting of 3-8” sprinklers services, 1-6” sprinkler service, 1-4” domestic service, 1-3” elevator water service (yes elevators use to be controlled by water power), and a final 2” domestic to wrap up the water portion. No two were the same and some needed to be just plates, others capped, and one needed a section of 12” cast iron main removed and replaced. Most of these services were originally installed late 1800’s through the early 1900’s with multiple repairs, main replacements, and many unknowns. Also can’t forget the old Cobble Stone roadway we found under the asphalt with this area of the City being that old. Thank you for our teams hard work and also the Assistance of A. J. Belculfine Vacuum Services with this Project.

We had a very busy May in addition to what was already posted! For paving projects to end the month we completed the 20,400 SF 1 1/2” topcoat on this Webster St project. Amazon Bellingham, MA we saw cut, prepared 5,800 SF area for paving, paved 2 1/2 basecoat, asphalt berms, and 1 1/2” topcoat for country gardens. Paved a 2,000 SF driveway in Hudson for Shrewsbury Homes. We also excavated for a ADU foundation in Worcester, water service replacement in Tatnuck Sq, and a Sewer replacement in Clinton.

Ok siesta time is over and Cinco De Mayo. If you don’t know now you will know. Nobody does a driveway like Barrows Paving & Excavating! 18” dugout of unsuitable soil, replaced with 6” of 3” minus processed gravel and 12” of 1 1/2” Dense grade. We will be paving the 2” basecoat tomorrow

From paving a driveway in Southbridge to finishing up this sewer and water service in Clinton this afternoon that we had started the beginning of this week. Plenty of frost and ledge on this job that we had to hammer through. There was a previous modular trailer that had sewer and water services that we were able to locate and reconnect to for the new home. Trying to wrap things up before the rain and cold come back. We will be back in the spring to complete the driveway at this project.
