Just one of the perks of being a flower farmer… 🌸

After all the bouquets are made and the subscriptions are ready to go, I get to play with the leftovers. And honestly, this might be one of my favorite parts. 💕

A little something for my own kitchen table, made from the blooms that were too beautiful to let go to waste. 🌿🧡

The garden may be winding down, but the flowers are still putting on a show! If you’d like some blooms of your own, send me a message ~ I may have a few extras available. 🌸

🌸 Tomorrow is Bouquet Day! 🌸

It’s hard to believe we’re already at the last month of my CSA flower subscriptions. There are little signs of fall popping up all around the garden, but the flowers? They’re still going strong! 🌼🌸🌿

I made a few extra garden bouquets today, and they’re ready for someone to enjoy. I also have 2 Dahlia bouquets available~because there’s still plenty of summer color to bring inside. 💕🌺

💐 $20 each
🌸 Freshly gathered
🎁 And they make the sweetest gifts!

If you’d like to claim one, send me a message and I’ll set it aside for you.

Tomorrow is Bouquet Day, and I’m going to soak up every bit of this beautiful late-summer garden while it lasts. 🌿💗

🌸 A morning full of flowers…

This morning I had the absolute joy of helping out at a local florist shop as they prepared for a wedding with over 50 centerpieces!

There were flowers everywhere~buckets overflowing, tables covered in blooms, and arrangements coming together one after another. It was busy, creative, a little chaotic, and so much fun!

And the best part? They were using flowers from Birdhouse Gardens that I had grown and sold to them. 🥹🌸

There’s something pretty special about seeing flowers that started as tiny seeds in my garden become part of someone’s wedding day.

I’m learning so much with every opportunity, and I’m loving this unexpected little journey of growing flowers, sharing them with local florists, and getting a peek into the world beyond my garden.

My heart was very full this morning. 🌿💗

It’s been a full couple of days here at Birdhouse Gardens, and the cooler has been getting a workout! 🌿💐

Yesterday was harvest day, filling buckets with all the beautiful things blooming in the garden. Today, several bunches headed off to a local florist, and I’m already looking forward to filling another order later this week.

Then it was back to the studio to work on this week’s CSA bouquets.

Tomorrow is Bouquet Day~one of my favorite days of the week. There is just something so special about taking flowers I’ve grown from seed, bringing them into the studio, and creating something beautiful to share.

I love growing them. I love arranging them. And I especially love knowing they are going home with someone who will enjoy them.

From tiny seeds to beautiful bouquets… this little garden business of mine really is a dream come true. 🌸

This dahlia. ❤️

That deep, almost velvety burgundy is absolutely stunning~and I especially love the little hints of green that peek through the petals. It adds so much depth and dimension to the bloom.

The size is another reason I love working with this one. It’s large enough to make a statement, but still easy to place and work with, making it a beautiful focal flower in my garden-style designs.

This is exactly why I love growing dahlias. Every variety brings something a little different to the bouquet. 🌿

Meet Black Knight Scabiosa... isn't she stunning? 🖤

Scabiosa is new to my garden this season, and I have completely fallen in love. This variety, Black Knight, adds such rich, velvety color and beautiful texture to my weekly bouquets.

But the best part? She keeps on giving! Once the blooms are finished, the unique seed pods become one of my favorite design elements for fall arrangements. It's like getting two flowers in one~beautiful blooms now and incredible texture later.

Every season in the garden teaches me something new, and discovering flowers like this is one of the reasons I love flower farming so much. I can't wait to share both the blooms and the seed pods with you!

🌿 Have you ever grown Scabiosa? I'd love to hear what your favorite variety is!
