From Problem to Beautiful First Impression ✨🚪

Another front door transformation complete!

This entryway had a very low threshold that was sitting dangerously close to the ground. The previous owner had even tiled over the area, which left the doorway vulnerable to dirt, water, and insects making their way inside.

We replaced it with a slightly larger door featuring a higher, properly sealed and insulated threshold—giving the home better protection from the elements while creating a much cleaner, updated look.

During the project, we also discovered mold along the interior trim and drywall, extending about a foot up the wall. That was addressed as part of the process so the finished entryway was not only beautiful, but properly repaired from the inside out.

From outdated and inefficient to modern and airtight!

What looked like a simple front door replacement turned into a much bigger discovery.

When we removed the existing front door, we discovered that the threshold was extremely low to the ground. In fact, it was so low that the previous owner had tiled over it by a couple of inches.

That left the entryway vulnerable to dirt, water, and insects getting underneath and into the home.

During demolition, we also uncovered mold along the interior trim and drywall—extending approximately 18 inches up from the floor. We carefully removed all of the affected materials and prepared the area for a proper rebuild.

We replaced the original door with a slightly larger door featuring a higher threshold, then properly sealed and insulated the opening to create a much better barrier against the elements.

And this is where precision matters.

Exterior demolition has to be done carefully and deliberately. The goal isn’t just to remove the old door—it’s to preserve everything around it. Existing siding, exterior trim, framing, flashing, and surrounding finishes can be damaged very easily if demolition is rushed.

One of our favorite parts of what we do is partnering with local businesses to create spaces that are not only beautiful, but functional for the people they serve.

For this project, we:
🔨 Opened an existing wall to create space for a beautiful new Dutch door.
🔨 Built a custom half wall with a gate to create a safe, welcoming treatment area.

The goal? To give children a secure space during chiropractic adjustments while allowing parents to remain comfortably within the room. It's a simple change that makes a big difference in both safety and the overall patient experience.
