Thankfully it's a shade gardens day. So hot out. Make sure you water your plants heavily but during morning and if need be, during the day. Water at base of plants as not to burn the plant. As a rule of thumb, once the ground stops taking water that's when you stop.watering.
And don't water at night. No one likes to go to bed with their feet wet. It creates the perfect environment for bacteria and fungus.

Today I'm in the garden moving viburnums, planting tons of shrubs and planting new perennials. Weeding and mulching. Fixing boxwoods and arborvitae from winterburn. I love any challenge. Especially when planting in heat. Have to make sure to soak the plants.

Winterburn- Many of your concerns about your boxwoods, rhodies and other shrubs are valid. They look pretty beat up after the cold winter we had. The browning leaves and clumps. It's most likely from Winterburn. Don't be so ready to replace them. Save your money and call me. I can fix them. Garden Girl does it all.
