Your products might work behind the scenes, but your brand deserves the spotlight. I create compelling visuals that translate complex engineering into a story people actually care about.
Creative problem solving is at the heart of what I do as a commercial photographer and digital artist at Digital Art That Rocks™. And this project was no exception. My client manufactures solenoids. They're the unsung heroes that work behind the scenes in automotive applications, home appliances, office printers and medical devices. Essentially, they're electromechanical devices that convert electrical energy into linear mechanical motion through the use of magnetism.
How do you make a solenoid look cool in a photograph? For this product, I decided to create an exploded view, showcasing each of the base components while artfully painting streaks of light with a flashlight to create a visible representation of electromagnetism.
*Note: this is NOT an AI generated image. I photographed this product with a mirrorless camera and creatively used a combination studio strobes and special effects lighting on set. The final image is the result of artfully compositing and blending multiple frames together in Photoshop. (If that matters to anyone).
