Not every “repair” is a long-term solution. 👀

We spotted this during a recent roof inspection. While it may have been intended to address an issue around the pipe boot, this is a good example of why the right repair method matters just as much as making the repair.

Pipe boots are a common source of roof leaks as they age, crack, or fail. A proper repair should protect this vulnerable area while working with the roofing system—not rely on layers of makeshift materials to keep water out.

That’s why our inspections go beyond simply looking for missing shingles. We look closely at the details, identify potential problem areas, and recommend the right solution for the roof in front of us.

There are definitely worse places to spend a workday. ⛰️🏠
