This vintage La-Z-Boy swivel rocker and matching ottoman were two separate pieces of furniture with a very special history.
The swivel rocker had been a favorite of a little girl, bringing comfort and countless memories throughout her childhood. Years later, her grandmother brought the chair to our workroom to have it lovingly restored for her as a thoughtful gift designed to preserve both the chair and the memories held within it.
We carefully stripped the rocker down to its foundation and rebuilt it from the inside out. New webbing restored its supportive base, while premium foam and thoughtfully layered padding renewed its structure, resilience, and comfort. A luxurious down-alternative seat cushion added a soft, cloudlike touch while maintaining the support needed for everyday relaxation.
The ottoman was restored as its own separate piece, carefully renewed to complement the rocker while preserving its individual character and function.
Both pieces were then upholstered in a handsome blue-gray plaid with a rich, tailored texture. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, from the precise pattern placement to the tufting, piping, and final finishing touches.
What began as a worn, well-loved chair and a tired ottoman is now a beautifully restored pair ready to bring comfort, connection, and many more years of enjoyment to someone very special.
