BCOE was proud to be in the room for the Pathways to Procurement: Business Opportunity Forum at the UIC Forum on Friday!

Hosted by the University of Illinois System in partnership with Congressman Danny K. Davis, the event brought together small businesses, public agencies, healthcare organizations, resource partners, and prime contractors for meaningful conversations around procurement, supplier diversity, certification, and upcoming contracting opportunities.

For BCOE, showing up in these spaces is about more than networking. It’s about building relationships, expanding access, gathering information, and making sure Black contractors and business owners are connected to the resources and opportunities that can move their businesses forward.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect, learn, and continue advocating for greater access and participation in contracting opportunities throughout Illinois.

Today, BCOE was proud to attend CTA Small Business Summer Connections: Linking Small Businesses to Big Opportunities — an afternoon focused on access, opportunity, and building stronger pathways for small businesses to compete and grow.

Our team connected with the Chicago Transit Authority’s Diversity Programs team to learn more about upcoming CTA projects, contracting opportunities, technology services, and professional service opportunities through CTA’s General Engineering Consultant program.

For our members, access to information and relationships like these can make all the difference. BCOE remains committed to showing up, staying connected, and ensuring Black contractors and business owners are positioned to pursue the opportunities shaping Chicago’s future.
