Loose plugs are more than just annoying—they can be unsafe.

If a cord falls out of a receptacle easily or doesn’t stay securely plugged in, the receptacle may be worn out.

A worn out receptacle can lead to:

🔹 Poor electrical connections
🔹 Arcing inside the receptacle
🔹 Excessive heat buildup
🔹 Increased fire risk

🚨 If plugs no longer fit snugly in an outlet, it’s a good idea to have the receptacle replaced.
