This might sound silly, but my absolute favorite thing on our lil' homestead is the worn path from our daughter's tiny house to our house. It symbolizes so much to me.
Hear me out. I don't think we are meant to be booted out at 18 to fend for ourselves. Multi-generational living is how it was always done before and still done in most countries today. Everyone helping to get the next generation going. Why make them start from absolutely nothing? It just does not make sense.
We homeschooled and one of the perks was working towards their future at a young age. Home ownership, an education, and a vehicle...all with no debt. Her brother is on the same path. It took planning, hardwork, and determination but I see the fruit in it all.
All that to say, we use that path a lot. If she needs something, she comes over and grabs it. Just this morning she needed some eggs, & cough drops.😂She calls our house, "Lolli & Pop's General Store" and nothing makes me happier. It so reminds me of what her great grandma's house was like.
I too know, if I need something, she is right there. I feel so dang blessed by how much time God has blessed me with, with our children. I am so very thankful I got to raise my very best friends. What an incredible gift...TIME!
💚🖤Have a beautiful day, Friends.
