When you get your bathroom remodeled PLEASE ask your contractor if they are using a licensed and insured plumber to do the plumbing. Even if it’s just setting a new toilet! When you get new tile/flooring and the floor is thicker you MUST raise the toilet fl**ge up. I am fixing at least 3 of these fl**ges a week where the contractor didn’t raise the fl**ge and it needs raised up. Some are over 1” below the finished floor. You may not see it at first but eventually this can cause major damage especially if it’s on the 2nd floor. Even if you are doing a new build the fl**ge MUST be set on top of the finished floor level, not to the subfloor. Please insist they install the fl**ge correctly or have your own plumber do a walkthrough before your project is finished. Thank you!

Please stop letting unlicensed handymen do your plumbing! This is a flare fitting commonly used in gas line applications. It was installed into an incompatible fitting in the wall and eventually failed and created a huge water leak which resulted in water damage and an insurance claim. If you know a guy that knows a guy that is working on your plumbing, it’s only a matter of time before it happens to you. Don’t be Joe Bobs next victim, call us instead and sleep easy knowing you’re using a licensed professional. 843-804-0229
