A client asked us to continue the look of the new baseboard, that we were installing, down their stairway. We removed the caps from some of the new baseboard pieces and installed them on top of the existing skirt boards. Since the stairs ended at a corner, we needed to come up with this unique transition, in order to carry the moulding into the different height baseboards.

Installing 8’ doors can be challenging, just from the awkwardness of their size. This door had the added challenge of the tile flooring on the other side not extending under the previous jamb. This meant that we had to line up our door frame perfectly in the opening, so that the space where the tile ended did not show.

It’s hard not to like the look of Today we installed these brass hinges on a client’s custom ordered door. We pre-drilled all of the screw holes and installed the screws by hand with a screwdriver, so that nothing was scratched or stripped.

We think that these new black windows look nice with the red brick, of this old brownstone. We reframed these window openings and installed the new windows. We then installed the trim, including cutting and shaping curved sills from solid mahogany, to follow the curve of the existing masonry sills. Finally, we reinstalled the original window bars, in the newly designed window openings.

This new door will keep out this winter’s frigid drafts! A client contacted us because their old garage walk door was letting in a draft. We suggested replacing it with a new Therma tru exterior door. We find the weather stripping on these door units to be great for keeping out the wind and other elements.

New tile substrate installed, on a backsplash, for our current countertop and backsplash replacement. We like using cement board, as a tile substrate, for our backsplashes because of its durability and rigidity.
