Here we have a great example of old faded paint that the client pressure washed themselves and after cleaning they said opps! We just took the color off the house!!
Their paint was at a point that it would've happened to anyone who pressure washed it in preparation for a paint job. Old chalky paint has lost its protective qualities and all that's left is colored mud.
That's where we step in, prime the chalky surface so new paint has a good base to bond to. Apply the second coat and you have shine and protection again for years to come.

Bringing a door back from the brink of cracking like that takes serious patience. Skipping straight to a new stain color after sanding down sun-baked, dried-out wood can be tricky, but you absolutely nailed it.
Using **marine varnish** was the perfect call here. Front doors that take a beating from afternoon sun get cooked by UV rays and blasted by temperature swings. Standard interior or cheap exterior clears just don't have the flexibility or the UV blockers to handle that kind of exposure—they usually flake off in a year or two. Those three coats are going to give it the flex and shield it actually needs to stay looking healthy.
There really is nothing quite like a beautifully restored wood door to completely change the vibe and curb appeal of a house. Out of curiosity, did you end up using a marine spar urethane or a traditional tung-oil-based marine varnish for this one?

Garage makeover. I am calling this one rags to riches.
We called for some sheetrock seam repairs and texturing while working on other sections of the house.
Once the rock was repaired we rented a concrete grinder to remove the old coatings and prepare the floors for epoxy.
Turned out looking really good.
The client picked SW Repose gray for the walls. We recommended an exterior paint since this is a garage. The floor and cinder block base was another SW color, Krypton. This was painted with a 2 part water based epoxy. We added slip resistance to the stairs for safety.
This space is definitely making a Vital Impression now and ready for move in.

Almost finished with this exterior painting project. Full exterior prep and repaint. Beautiful barn, not small by any means. The garage is separate from the house with a breezeway walkway. Then the house itself has some crazy gables we needed to break out the roofline pitch hopper safety equipment.
My back hurts y'all but in a good way.
Body color is SW svelte sage with trim color SW rice grain.
Front door is getting a marine grade varnish for lasting gloss finish.

Heading: Making Bulletproof Look Beautiful 🪵🛡️

We finished up a cool project for a Credit Union right before the holidays! They added new bulletproof security doors to their lobby, and it was our job to make sure they didn’t look like heavy security doors.

We had to track down the exact original finish—a Minwax PolyShades. I’ll be honest: I’m usually not a fan of all-in-one stains. You can’t wipe them in like a traditional stain; you have to brush them on perfectly to keep the grain from disappearing.

It was a bit of a learning curve, but we nailed the match! The doors look great, the client loves the result, and most importantly, the lobby looks cohesive again
