Job Description:
The Crew Leader is responsible for the daily operations including quality control, training, punctuality and safety. Candidates must also have strong organizational skills, ability to complete appropriate paperwork, and possess good leadership and communication skills. The Crew Leader will provide quality service that meets or exceeds our clients’ and management’s expectations. The Crew Leader will show attention to detail and effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and his/her supervisor. All employees will possess a friendly, customer service minded attitude and will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Primary responsibilities include:
Prepare for the scheduled workload each morning by:
-Checking the weather and making necessary route adjustments to ensure completion of all jobs.
-Inspecting equipment prior to loading the truck, making sure all are working properly, blades are sharpened, and all gas tanks are filled.
-Track Employees’ time and all have clocked in.
-Confirm all crew members have the appropriate safety equipment and uniform.
-Arrive at each job on time.
Monitor and meet utilization metrics and man hour rates for each job.
Oversee the crew’s daily responsibilities.
Guide the crew to ensure proper techniques are being used.
Confirm safety protocols are followed to ensure the safety of the crew as well as clients.
Complete and submit quality reports after each job.
Responsible for protecting client properties and company equipment from any damage.
Communicate with the client at the completion of each job and reporting client requests, inquiries, and/or complaints.
Proactive communication when jobs need to be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
At the day’s end:
-Inspect equipment and put away.
-Report any problems with jobs, equipment, or crew members.
-File an action request for broken equipment, job site discrepancies, etc.
-Some Marketing activities, such as passing out flyers.
Job Requirements:
High School Degree or Equivalent Educational Experience
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to lift 40 lbs or more consistently throughout the day
Stoop, stand, and bend for 8 hours or more each day
Ability to read and write English, including Maps & Diagrams
Drug Free Work Environment
Pass Background Check
Ability to operate property maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay rate based upon experience.
