🏗️ FABRIC STRUCTURE FRIDAY
Need more storage? Don't start with square footage.
When a business realizes it needs additional space, the natural question is:
“How big should we build?”
But there are a few more important questions to answer first.
1️⃣ What are you storing?
Equipment, vehicles, inventory, raw materials, and finished products can all require very different space considerations.
2️⃣ How will you use the space?
Will equipment need to move in and out regularly? Will employees be working inside? Will materials need to be loaded and unloaded?
3️⃣ How much clear height do you need?
The footprint of a building is only part of the equation. Think about the height of your equipment, storage systems, and future needs.
4️⃣ How will the space be accessed?
Door locations, equipment movement, loading areas, and traffic flow can have a major impact on how useful your space actually is.
5️⃣ What will your operation look like five years from now?
The best storage solution shouldn't just solve today's problem. If your business is growing, it's worth considering what you'll need down the road.
The goal isn't simply to add more space.
It's to add useful space.
At All Purpose Structures, we believe good planning starts with understanding how a business operates and what it's trying to accomplish.
