Stay cool and get an AC tune up with Equip Heat & Air!
There are a few important reasons to get your air conditioning system inspected and cleaned annually, even if you are not currently experiencing any issues with it. From dirty condenser coils and airflow restrictions in your ventilation system, to excessive wear and tear on the system's electrical components, a lack of preventative maintenance and consistent care for the system could result in premature failures.
What you get:
~Condenser coil cleaning.
Your condenser needs constant airflow pulled through it to effectively cool your refrigerant and make an effective heat exchange. Though the coils frequently get clogged up with dead grass, weeds, dirt, and various other debris. This restricts the airflow and puts excessive strain on both your fan motor and compressor, which could result in more serious damages.
~Refrigerant pressure/ lineset temperature check.
After washing a dirty condenser coil, refrigerant pressures will reflect any potential issues within the system's refrigerant circuit. We will measure the surface temperature of the lineset, as well as checking refrigerant pressures, and will be able to diagnose any potential issues with refrigerant amount, and flow within the system.
~Electrical inspection.
Your system contains several electrical components that will inevitably wear down over time, and in some cases even go bad prematurely. We will be able to collect data from all electrical elements on the entire system and inform you of any current or potential issues with these components.
~Condensate Drain treatment.
One of the most common service calls during the summer is related to a clogged or leaking drain. In both new and old systems; dirt, algae, and other substances will build up in the drain lines and cause the condensation to back up and flood the unit. We will preventatively clear the drain out and insert condensate treatment tabs into both the drain pans as well as the drain line itself.
~Filter change
Airflow restrictions from a dirty filter may not seem like a big deal, but it can cause major issues such as your evaporator coil freezing up, and excess strain on your indoor blower motor. With customer provided filters, we will check and replace all filters in the house while on site.
