*Mequon Firefighter In Need*:
Around 9:00 AM on December 23rd, a vehicle collision occurred on I-894 and National Ave. The collision happened in front of off-duty Mequon Fire Department Firefighter/Paramedic Josh Lipp. Josh stopped his vehicle to render aid and check on the occupants of both vehicles. While speaking with one of the Drivers, both Josh and the Driver were struck by another vehicle. Josh sustained multiple serious injuries and is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Tragically, the driver that Josh was attending to was fatally injured in the second collision.
Josh has been an active member with the Mequon Fire Department since September 3rd, 2009 and was hired full-time on April 18th, 2022. He was one of the first paramedics to serve Ozaukee County, and subsequently was the first full-time Firefighter/Paramedic hired by MFD.
The Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin have established a charitable donation page for Josh. Please consider helping at the link below.
