Born and raised in Pennsylvania, my love for art began very young and some of my first masterpieces were born on the white walls of my birth home. Undeterred, however, I decided paper was a better medium as well as one my mom approved of, so I began drawing, and never stopped. I go off and on, but I drew through school, I drew through church, I even drew instead of sleeping sometimes, and I would
draw on anything I could get my hands on. For a few years Sharpie markers and skin was a favored medium, while dabbling into a little bit of painting as well. My start into digital art started at my Grandmother's house in Minnesota, who had a program called Photoshop, and she let me play with it a bit. It was a complicated program, but it allowed me to do things I could with pencil and paper, or using MS Paint at home, but I had to leave it with my Grandmother, and thought nothing of it. Having been home schooled for Elementary and Junior High school, I asked my mom to enroll me in the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School for High School, and they sent me a computer to work with, including something called a "Wacom Tablet," for drawing answers virtually. They even sent me my very own copy of Photoshop 4.0 and once I realized the WACOM tablet and Photoshop could be used in synchronicity with each other, there was no stopping me! I am self-taught in Photoshop, using it frequently to create art for the past 9 years, and I've come a long way for sure! I am always open for creative criticism and learning new tips, tricks, and ideas, as well as helping other aspiring artists accomplish what they need with this useful program. I have some experience with GIMP as well, but old habits die hard, and I always refer back to Photoshop. I am currently using version CS3, with a WACOM Bamboo Fun pen tablet as a constant, as well as good old fashioned pen (or pencil) and paper.
