This months design challenge was "still life" I had several of my favorite soft pink flowers blooming and that was the start of my inspiration. I have had a lot of thoughts and feelings this last few months on the mother/daughter experience. Both as a mother and as a daughter. Big milestones over here with my daughter getting married and having a new last name!
I also transitioned my mom to memory care a year ago and am still navigating her care. The lovely antique pitcher holding the florals was a gift from my mom. I was always borrowing it from her and the last time I went to return it, she refused to take it back. She said I loved and used it more and it made her happy to see my arrangements in it. She can't tell me those types of things anymore so this piece holds a lot of meaning to me.
I love the romantic feel of the pitcher and the pink flower palette. I think its a lovely setting for a new baby girl! I used a lovely embroidered place mat, a baby bonnet from my daughters first easter to set the stage. The first 2 pictures are my own just adding the black on the 2nd picutre. The other two are playing around with AI adding a few props that reflects transition.
